Technology
Quad Flex
Quad Flex is an outerlining that gives maximum stretch in all directions, while the grid woven texture provides extra strength and durability.
Flatlocked Seams
Flatlock stitching involves laying one panel against the other, then stitching through the neoprene.
The resulting seam is flexible and strong, but not watertight. This makes it more suited to summer or warmer water surfing.
Quantum Stretch Lining
The Quantum Stretch lining is marked on Prolimit wetsuits as Q-Lining and used in high stretch and high wear areas.
Freezip
The YKK front zip is designed for easy entry. The zipper opens fully, allowing you to effortlessly slip into your wetsuit and prepare for action.
NaturePrene2®
NaturePrene2® is made with natural rubber harvested from FSC certified rubber tree plantations. The material is USDA-certified and consists of 80% natural rubber, 20% recycled carbon black and is enriched with Oystershell powder and Soybean oil.
Water Based Glue
The lamination of Prolimit wetsuits is done with water based glue, called aqua-a. Unlike traditional glue, the water based glue is solvent free and without chemicals.
PAH, ROHS and REACH Compliant
Prolimit wetsuits are PAH free and 100% REACH compliant. The PAH neutral material has improved characteristics such as weight and stretch and helps prevent skin irritation.
Dope Dyed Yarns
Prolimit uses the dope-dyeing process for lining fabrics. This method adds color before spinning the yarn and saves 104L of water per kg of fabric.
FSC Certified
The Forest Stewardship Council monitors and confirms that specific forest areas are being managed in line with the FSC principles and criteria.
Soybean Oil
One of the components to create NaturePrene2, Soybean oil is edible oil extracted from soybean seeds and is a 100% plant-based oil.
Oyster Shell Powder
Harvested from scrap oystershell washed ashore, the powder is an important enriching component for the blend in NaturePrene2 rubber.
Eco Carbon Black
Eco carbon black is made from recycled tires. The tires are shredded and transformed into powdered carbon black, reducing energy consumption and CO2 emission.
