APPLETREE TFS prone foil board

Informations sur le produit "APPLETREE TFS prone foil board"

Overview

The TFS prone foil board is an Appletree X The Foil Shop collaboration board. It’s designed by The Foil Shop (Seal Beach, California) and built at the Appletree factory in Appletree’s foil construction. The shape is a straightforward, proven design with a very balanced volume distribution—most of the volume sits right under your chest for easier paddling and to help you catch just about any wave. Production time is 10–12 weeks.

Key Features

  • Balanced volume distribution with the most volume under the chest for easy paddling and wave catching

  • Narrow, pulled-in tail for hard carves without hitting the rail when you lay the board over

  • Flat deck for lots of stability while paddling and when up on foil

  • Comes exclusively in two sizes

  • Standard tail dip color included in the price:

    • 37.5L: YELLOW tail dip

    • 43L: ORANGE tail dip

Construction (Foil Construction)

50K closed cell foam core
Every board starts with Appletree’s own 50K closed cell foam core (formalized exclusively for them and not used in any other board on the market). The foam can withstand 50,000 kg per square meter while staying very light and very flexible. Being closed cell means it won’t take in water, and the board won’t blow out when it gets hot.

100% carbon fiber construction
All foil boards are produced in 100% carbon fiber construction for stiffness and strength—improving control, response, and pumping efficiency while keeping the board extremely strong and light. The foil mount is CNC cut with the board for high precision. FUTURES oneshot boxes are set in an ultra high density PET honeycomb panel, which is sandwiched in carbon (carbon inside and outside). Appletree uses an in-house vacuum technique: carbon and reinforcements are layered dry, air is extracted, and epoxy is injected under pressure for a very tight lamination and optimal fiber-to-epoxy ratio. This also creates a 100% connection to the core to help prevent delamination. Extra patches under the feet prevent heel denting. Inserts are made from blocks of high density material, can be customized in position, and are fused to the core so they never pull out.
